Fun at the Park & 1st sleepover (attempt)

So i'm jumping dates around, but oh well ~ i thought i would just recap our visits to the park so far this year (April 17th and May 28th) with Lili and Will.

Actually, as i type this, i dont have anything overly creative to write about...i mean, it's a park with swings, slides, and monkey bars. we bring the kids, they play and have fun...hmmmmmm...

So here's some photos from April 17th ~ the kids brought bubbles; Koralyn didnt have any issues, Lili did OK but spilled some, and Will was just facinated by the bubbles and didnt seem to mind letting the girls do the work!

May 28th - we met andrea, lili and will at the park (and for the record, hopefully next time we are going to a different park...i think the kids (especially koralyn) would appreciate a change of scenery). it was one of the few breaks of sun we had over Memorial Weekend so we took advantage!
When we arrived, Andrea was pushing Lili and Will on the tire swing, and Koralyn was quick to join. unfortunately Will got a little sick toward the end and had to get off...he ended up falling asleep on Andrea for most of the duration.

~ you can tell Will is not feeling too well in this photo ~

Koralyn and Lili continued to play, and at one point were both sitting together on bouncy-car thing, and things got silly!!!

Earlier that day, Koralyn asked me "Mommy, do you believe people are born to do things?" Thinking there was something pretty amazing to follow, and told her yes, and she said "Well i was born to do monkey bars"...hmmmmm. Well, i can't disagree with that statement ~ koralyn's upper body strength never ceases to amaze me, and she definitely knows her way around the bars!

Drew is out of town for 10 days, and Andrea had a babysitter for the evening. I offered to take Lili so her and k could tear around and play at our house. At times i realized i am completely content with having/raising one child. :) koralyn isn't used to sharing, and and dont think lili is quite there yet, either. there were definitely times when they argued almost like sisters, and other times they played like best friends. it really has been fun watching their friendship develop over the past couple years, and i know the best is yet to come with these two!

The above is my favorite photo of the day ~ lili asked koralyn to read a story to her, and she did...it was Noah and the Ark.:)

We decided to try and sleepover, which the girls were very excited about. I had a movie in for them, and they were settled into bed.
Lili came out a couple times and wanted me to change the movie they were watching. by now it was after 9pm, and i convinced her to just watch what was currently playing.
Shortly after, koralyn came out and whispered "mommy, i think this sleepover is getting out of hand". Then lili came out and said she wanted to go home and had all her stuff in her arms. So.....darren walked her next door and koralyn was grateful to have her bed to herself.
we'll be trying again, but maybe the girls will camp out on the floor...
